Understanding the Point of No Return (PNR) | How Wind Affects Flight Planning
This video explains the concept of the Point of No Return (PNR) in aviation and how wind conditions affect its calculation. Exploring different scenarios with headwinds and tailwinds demonstrates why wind always increases the total flight time, thus reducing the distance to the PNR.

Swept Wings | Simple explanation of a complex topic.
Просмотров 41 тыс.Год назад
A swept wing angles backward from its root rather than sideways and is primarily used to increase the Mach-number capability of fast aircraft. This is a complex topic. If you are an engineer, you may wish for a more in-depth explanation. However, for us pilots, this video provides a simplified explanation. It briefly illustrates the theories behind the design of swept-back wings, their pros and...

what if it were a crosswind?, then i would assume that there will be no effect since the crosswind will have the same effect from point a to b and vice versa

Very clear!!! I am redirecting my students to your video for a clear explanation :)
Wonderful!
it's "mock"
Could not get an answer to a basic doubt. When the aircraft is banked to the right, it sideslips to the right, so the right wing experiences more drag on the right wing. Now what causes the aeroplane to yaw to the left ? The vertical fin is still in a position to make a right turn from the sideslip. Main question is what causes the aeroplane to yaw towards the left ?
tha'ts probably what happened to air france 447
Or just use Mathematical equations. I hate this stupid whiz wheel

Whoop whoop PULL UP Whoop whoop TERAIN TO LOW 1:20
Thanks.
Why does Vy decrease when weight decreases? Shouldn't the rate of climb get faster therefore increase when the plane loses weight? I could imagine that for example plane A and B are both 747's and A has 10 tons more weight than B that A takes longer to reach the same altitude as B.
Thanks ❤ for clearing all my doubts regarding errors of ASI

Technically the reason that kerosene is lower is due to the fact that it boils at a higher temperature rather than it being heavier. But in reality density is related to boiling point. I appreciate the video, and sorry for the nitpick.
Thanks!

The left - red color
An easier way I remember the colour was 'When you drink all of your red wine and have none left.' and 'When a question is right it is marked in green'. These two don't work for everyone but that was how I remembered it. Good video!
The velocity of air over the top of paper is higher than the velocity of air downward. According to Bernoulli's principles "Where speed is high pressure is low and where speed is low pressure is high". So the pressure over the top decreases and pressure over bottom increases, this high pressure in the bottom pushes the paper upward. That's the basics of aerodynamics. Hope it helped ya...
thank you so much. it was of great help
